Gender Hits The Campaign Trail

Finally. I've read a few hints here and there that pundits think Clinton "should be" playing the gender card. Obviously, with Obama trying as hard as he can not to play the race card it seems like the wrong concept. I still think it is the right one, and a very valid one. I still believe that in terms of social change and positive impact, electing a woman president is a bigger deal. The "historic" element of the 2008 presidential campaign has finally been blown wide open (it was really there all the time) so why not capitalize on it? Obama is certainly capitalizing on his "brilliant" handling of the race question with his "genius" speech.

At any rate, you be the judge. Gender is hitting the Clinton campaign:

Unfair double standard hurts Sen. Clinton

Will Hillary Clinton Lose Because Of Her Gender?

Democratic women who support Clinton rallied in front of the State House

Men, it's not your place to tell Clinton to quit the race
