Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich and his chief of staff John Harris were arrested today by FBI agents on federal corruption charges.
The article, breaking right now at the Chicago Tribune, is a little choppy and confusing because of the multiple updates. However, it appears that Gov. Blagojevich is accused of wide-spread corruption and mishandling of his duties and the powers of his office.
My first question is: how much did Obama know about this? Not that it matters, nor does it implicate him. But, I will be curious to see how the President-elect treats the known-to-be-corrupt Chicago political machine that got him elected. As this story unfolds, I believe we may see a glimpse into Obama's character as a leader.
